Kathmandu, Feb. 18 -- The 15th edition of International Industrial Trade Fair will kick off on March 7 at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu with an objective to promote homemade products.

The five-day fair is being organised by the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries.

Umesh Prasad Singh, acting president of the federation said the small cottage industries have the potential to play a key role in the economic development of Nepal as it could generate employment opportunities to a large number of people.

However, these industries are not being able to make progress due to a lack of technology and capacity development, he said. "As a result, youths are not attracted towards the industry," he added.
