Dr KC's health worsens, flown to Kathmandu for treatment
ILLAM, Jan. 18 -- Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC, who has been staging his 16th hunger strike in Ilam, has been brought to Kathmandu on Thursday night.
Dr KC has been fasting for the last ten days demanding authorities to bring reforms in the country's medical education sector.
Dr KC was brought to Bhadrapur from Ilam on an ambulance and flown to Kathmandu on a Nepal Army helicopter following the deterioration in his health condition.
A team of civil society leaders, including former Chief Justice Sushila Karki, Former Vice-chancellor of Tribhuvan University Kedarbhakta Mathema and rights activist Daman Nath Dhungana had reached Ilam on Thursday to express her solidarity with the demands ...
