Pakistan, Feb. 20 -- An accountability court, on Tuesday, issued notices to Pakistan Muslime League-Nawaz (PML-N) President, Shehbaz Sharif, and his son Hamza Shehbaz to appear on March 4 in a case against Ramzan Sugar Mills.

The father and son were named as primary accused in a reference filed against the construction of a drain of the Ramzan Sugar Mill in Chiniot district, causing losses of Rs 213 million to the national exchequer.

The reference stated, "As Punjab chief minister Shehbaz had misused his authority by constructing a 9 to 10 kilometers of drain to facilitate Ramzan Sugar mills under the pretext of people's well-being."
