GUWAHATI, Jan. 21 -- The 20th memorial lecture programme to mark the 30th death anniversary of litterateur Sarat Chandra Sharma will be held tomorrow at the Guwahati Press Club, stated a press release issued here.
The lecture programme, on the topic, 'The antiquity of the Assamese Script and its separate place in the Unicode', will begin at 3 pm. The event is being organised under the auspices of the Sarat Chandra Sharma Prachyatattwa Adhyayan Kendra. Jatin Goswami, president of the Kendra, will chair the function. A number of experts on the subject including Dr Satyakam Phukan, Dr Satish Chandra Bhattacharyya and others will speak on the topic.
