SILCHAR, Jan. 21 -- In sync with 200 cities of the country, including Dibrugarh and Guwahati, Silchar, which is the the second-biggest city in the state, joined Saksham Cycle Rally on Sunday.

Patronised by Numaligarh Refinery Limited, around 300 cyclists of all age groups assembled at the police parade ground here and rallied for 5 kms till zero point on the East West corridor at Madhura point and back, spreading messages of fuel conservation and pollution control.
