DOOMDOOMA, Feb. 19 -- The NSS and the NCC units of Doomdooma College paid rich tributes in the memory of 44 martyred jawans of CRPF who were killed in terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on February 14.

The NSS Programme Officer of Doomdooma College Birendra Hazarika and NCC Officer Dr Rumi Khalen lit earthen lamps at the swahid bedi of the college. The officers urged the students present to come forward for the safety and security of the motherland.

NSS volunteer Ratnakanta Moran and NCC cadet Hiranya Moran also spoke on the occasion. The programme was anchored by senior NSS volunteer Dibakar Borah. Two minute's silence was observed for the eternal peace of the departed souls of the jawans.
