GUWAHATI, Jan. 21 -- Enforcement inspectors of the transport department today fined six city buses at Beltola on the charge of route violation. The buses were supposed to ply to Basistha Temple but did not. The owners were fined Rs 2,500 each. If the buses are caught violating the rule a second time, the fine will be doubled and on the third occasion, their permits will be cancelled, officials said.
