DOOMDOOMA, Jan. 21 -- Bengali speaking people of Doomdooma under the aegis of Bangabhashi Asomiya Samaj, Doomdooma and Doomdooma Regional Committee of All Assam Bengali Yuva Chatra Federation brought out a torchlight rally through the tea town on Sunday evening to register their protest against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
The protesters shouted slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and the BJP. The protesters subsequently held a meeting in front of Doomdooma Bangiya Durgabari.
