India, Jan. 9 -- Shares of Tata Motors climbed over 1 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the company said that its premium luxury vehicles-maker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) reported 12 per cent growth in total retail sales of 55,375 vehicles in December 2016 over the previous year.

Boosted by the development, shares of company gained as much as 1.33 per cent to hit intra-day high of Rs 504.45 apiece on Bombay Stock Exchange.

In a similar fashion, stocks of company rose 0.89 per cent to Rs 502.20 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 26,761.86, up 2.63 points, or 0.01 per cent, at 12:05 hours....
