India, Dec. 6 -- Crude oil futures traded lower on MCX, as speculators trimmed their holdings, with tepid trading in overseas ahead of a meeting by producer group OPEC that is expected to result in a supply cut aimed at draining a glut that has pulled down crude prices by 30 percent since October.
The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 3725.00, down by 2.03% or Rs 77.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3802.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 19972 lots.
The contract for January delivery was trading at Rs 3756.00, down by 1.98% or Rs 76.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3832.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1968 lots on MCX.
