India, March 19 -- The Indian Olympic Association on Monday dissolved the ad-hoc committee for wrestling, saying "there is no further need" for it to continue after the revocation of the suspension on the national federation, which now gets complete administrative control of the sport. IOA said the decision was also guided by the successful conduct of the trials for next month's Olympics qualifying tournament. The panel was formed last December after the sports ministry suspended WFI. The suspension imposed on it by the global governing body was lifted in February. Elections were held in late December and Sanjay Singh was elected the new WFI president. However, the wrestlers protested, saying he was an aide of ex-president Brij Bhushan, who was facing a slew of allegations of sexual assault.P13...
