Probe ordered after LS candidate rides elephant in Barmer
Barmer, April 3 -- The district poll body has ordered a probe after an Independent candidate from the Barmer parliamentary seat, Ravindra Singh Bhati, used an elephant for his Lok Sabha election campaigning. Nishant Jain, the district election officer, confirmed the report. According to the manual on model code of conduct, the Election Commission of India (ECI) had banned the use of animals for campaigning and the display of animals in road shows....
