Sri Lanka, March 21 -- The representatives of the International Monetary Fund, currently in the island for the review of the extended financial facility provided to Sri Lanka, held discussions with the representatives of the Samagi Jana Balavegaya, including opposition leader Sajith Premadasa, at the Parliament complex in the afternoon.

Participating in the discussion was also a group representing micro, small, and medium businessmen.

During the meeting, the opposition representatives emphasized to the IMF representatives the urgent need for every step to lead towards saving the country from bankruptcy, strengthening investments, and bolstering the economy for the benefit of the people.
