Mumbai Indians crumble as KKR defend modest score - Nuwan Thushara shines for MI
Sri Lanka, May 3 -- Kolkata Knight Riders beat Mumbai Indians by 24 runs at Wankhede Stadium. Chasing 170-run target, MI were bundled out for 145. Earlier, MI bowled out KKR for 169. Nuwan Thushara claimed three wickets inside the powerplay to dent KKR's start but a solid partnership of 83 runs between Venkatesh Iyer (70 off 52) and Manish Pandey (42 off 31) led the two-time champions' fightback.
Jasprit Bumrah later returned with a double-wicket over to keep KKR's progress in check before ending with a spell of 3 for 18 in 3.5 overs
