Goa, May 5 -- On Sunday, rain poured over several parts of Assam's Dibrugarh, offering respite to locals from the sweltering heat and lowering the city's temperature.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds in some areas of Assam on May 5. Additionally, in a special bulletin, the IMD cautioned of rainfall activity and strong winds with thunderstorms sweeping across the state from May 6 to May 7.

The Met Office issued a statement, "Thunderstorms and lightning, accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of 50-60 Kmph, are expected at isolated places over Assam on May 5. Heavy to very heavy rain is forecasted in isolated areas across Assam on May 6 and May 7." Furthermore...
