RAIA, May 6 -- Navelim Villagers Union defeated hosts Santa Cruz Society of Poitomado 7-5 via tie-breaker to enter into the final of Coutinho Family inter-village football tournament played at Cuncolim school ground.
Both teams were tied at 2-2 at the end of regulation time. Velington Almeida and Sadroy Costa netted for Navelim Villagers Union, while Viraj Velip and Mevzen Oliveira scored for Santa Cruz Society.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, Navelim Villagers netted through Adem Pereira, Ronaldo Pereira, Velington Almeida, Nash Pereira and Terance Miranda. Mathew Fernandes, Royal Oliveira and Bradley Carvalho shot on target for Santa Cruz Society of Poitomado.
