PANJIM, May 9 -- Till Wednesday evening, Goa had recorded an approximate voting percentage of 76.06 in the two Parliamentary constituencies for which polling was held on Tuesday.

Speaking to mediapersons on Wednesday, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Ramesh Verma said that Goa's polling percentage touched the highest at 76.06 per cent and would increase further after including ballot papers and home voting. The North Goa Parliamentary constituency recorded 77.69 per cent polling and 74.47 per cent voting was registered in the South Goa Parliamentary constituency.

On Tuesday, the State Election Office had registered an estimated 75.20 per cent voter turnout.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the voting percentage was 75 per cent.
