PANJIM, April 22 -- The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) declared the results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examination with 84.99 per cent students clearing it.

However, the pass percentage this year is 10.47 per cent less than the last year's pass percentage which stood at 95.46 per cent.

Of the 17,511 students, who appeared for the examination, 14,884 students cleared the examination.

Girls outshone the boys in the examination as out of 9,235 girl students, 8,132 passed registering a pass percentage of 88.06 per cent while out of 8,276 boys, who appeared for the examination, 6,752 passed, marking a pass percentage of 81.59 per cent.
