COLOMBO, April 26 -- Vising Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs at the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Alexis Taylor, met with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and other senior officials on Friday (26) to discuss USDA support for Sri Lanka's agricultural sector. She was accompanied by US Ambassador Julie Chung.

A statement from the US Embassy in Colombo said Taylor's visit underscored the American peoples' ongoing commitment to supporting the agricultural development and economic growth of Sri Lanka, promoting greater food security and enhancing resilience against climate challenges.
