Nepal, May 7 -- After operating for two years unofficially, ride-share application inDrive has been officially launched in Nepal.

Announcing the official launch, the company said it would impose a 10 percent commission on the drivers for each ride.

The US-based inDrive started operating in Nepal in April 2022. It has more than 150 million downloads and operates in 47 countries.

Currently, inDrive's ride-hailing service is available in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan.

The company offers taxi, motorcycle, delivery and intercity rides in Kathmandu.

The company entered the Nepali market with 100 percent foreign direct investment. The company said that it is researching and studying to explore more cities in Nepal to expand its services. ...
