JAMMU, Feb. 12 -- GLDM Degree College Hiranagar took a proactive step in addressing a critical issue by organizing an awareness camp titled "Legal Services To Victims of Acid Attacks." This event, held in collaboration with the Tehsil Legal Services Committee Hiranagar, was conducted under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Pragya Khanna, the college's principal. The primary objective of the camp was to disseminate crucial information to students and the general public about the devastating consequences of acid attacks on victims. Tragically, these attacks, which are predominantly targeted at women, often stem from reasons such as rejecting suitors, declining marriage proposals, or refusing dowry demands.
