Ganderbal, Feb. 9 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said to have arrested 12 persons and seized counterfeit currency of Rs 1,500,000 and genuine Indian currency of Rs 56,000.

Police officials said that the Kangan Police Station acted upon credible information received regarding suspicious activity in Kijpara, situated behind the Dumping Park.

"Under the direction of SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta, a specialized police team, led by SDPO Kangan Muzaffar Jan and supervised by SHO Kangan Turk Zahoor, swiftly moved in," police said.
