India, April 19 -- The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IITK) Kanpur have taken the initiative to revolutionize healthcare facilities for soldiers operating in difficult terrains with their joint collaborative efforts. AFMS and IIT Kanpur has officially inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 18th April 2024 in the presence of Director General Armed Forces Medical Services Lt Gen Daljit Singh and Officiating Director, IIT Kanpur Prof S Ganesh.

Under the terms of the MoU, AFMS and IIT Kanpur will collaborate on research training, and technology development to overcome health problems faced by soldiers serving in challenging environments, where access to medical assistance is often limited....
