Sri Lanka, April 29 -- Three wild elephants had invaded near Dambulla town on Wednesday (24) day time causing severe damages to the environment.

The Dambulla Police and the Wildlife officials had chased them away.

The townsfolk said that several times wild elephants were invaded from the Sigiriya sanctuary to this area during the dry season. But, the relevant authorities have not taken any action to solve this matter.

Therefore, the residents request the Government to take solid action to prevent this situation.
