Sri Lanka, March 21 -- The debate on the No Confidence Motion brought by the Opposition against Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena will continue for the third day today and the voting scheduled to be held today evening.

The debate on the no-confidence motion began on Tuesday (March 19) and the vote is scheduled to take place after the three-day debate today.

Although It was decided to hold the debate on the no-confidence motion two days earlier, the Parliamentary Business Committee that met the day before yesterday decided to conduct a three day debate.

The NCM against the Speaker was signed by 44 members of the Opposition including Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.
