Sri Lanka, March 21 -- A lawyer was suspended practicing by the Supreme Court yesterday for allegedly presenting facts in a disrespectful manner towards the apex court during a hearing in open Court.

Court also ordered the lawyer to be remanded until the case is concluded. The Attorney General was directed to immediately prepare two charge sheets against him under contempt of Court and violation of professional ethics of lawyers and submit them to the Court.

The Court also ordered the Prison Superintendent to refer the lawyer in question to psychiatrist for a report related to his mental condition.
