Sri Lanka, March 20 -- The Court of Appeal decided to hear the petition filed by an attorney against former Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe citing Contempt of Court over his controversial remarks in Parliament against CA President Justice Nissanka Bandula Karunaratne, before a new bench of Judges yesterday.

This was when Justice Khema Swarnadhipathi who is hearing the petition with Justice Laffar Thahir informed that she is retiring in the near future and emphasized the need to appoint a new member to the Bench or a new Bench due to this reason. The petition has been filed by Attorney Dimitri Shiraz Augustus Pitranjali on the claims of Contempt of Court naming former Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe as a respondent.
