Sri Lanka, April 3 -- MP Prof. G.L. Peiris said on Monday that a person concealing information on any act of terrorism is liable for a seven-year prison term under the Prevention of Terrorism Act and former President Maithripala Sirisena was the country's President, Commander-in-Chief as well as Defence Minister at the time when the Easter Sunday attacks took place in 2019.

He said this at a press conference held in Colombo on Monday (1).

Prof. Peiris said that the former President's announcement about the Easter Sunday attacks has created a problematic situation and no one can understand as to why he delayed to reveal information if he had the information.
