Sri Lanka, April 29 -- Sajeev de Silva, Sri Lanka's top-ranked archer, has achieved the Paris Olympic qualifying standard through universality places following his outstanding performance at the 7th Kartini International Archery Championship 2024. Held from April 24 to 26 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The tournament marked a historic milestone for Sri Lankan archery.

Competing in the 70-meter Recurve Men's Open category, de Silva clinched the silver medal, securing the Paris Olympic qualifying standard of 640. His impressive scores of 324/2 in the first round and 332/2 in the second round contributed to his total of 646 points, ultimately earning him the silver medal in the knockout competition.
