Uganda, March 13 -- Nakaseke District Local Government has subjected 40 Primary Seven teachers to a competence test exam after their respective schools performed below average in the recently released PLE results.

The Monitor has learnt that the 40 teachers were tricked to come and attend a meeting with the district officials at Nakaseke Technical Institute in Butalangu Town Council on March 13, 2024, but on arrival, were given special PLE past papers depending on the subject, they teach in their respective schools.

The exam was administered by the district chairperson, Mr Ignatius Kiwanuka Koomu after the council expressed concern about the failure rate in some of the schools in the area.
