Sri Lanka, May 4 -- Colombo, May 4 () - The Government Medical Officers' Forum (GMOF) has requested the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) to carry out post-marketing surveillance to assess the quality of inhalation devices, which are largely imported from India.

Its president, Dr. Rukshan Bellana, said that post-marketing surveillance should be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of inhalation medicines, including bronchodilator combinations with steroids and standalone bronchodilators.

He also requested that an investigation be carried out to determine whether the dosage delivered through inhalers meets the required standards.
