India, April 22 -- The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance is the quickest-accelerating production vehicle the company has ever built. It is claimed to be 0.3 seconds quicker than the standard GT 63. Its hybrid powertrain setup - consisting of a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 (making 595bhp alone) and an electric motor - produces the combined 794bhp and 1,420Nm, resulting in a 0 to 97km/h sprint time of 2.7 seconds. While this makes it the quickest 'series production' AMG, the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance falls only 0.4 seconds short of the 2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo S's 0-97km/h time. The latter is an all-electric vehicle with a 98.6kWh battery pack and two motors.
