India, Jan. 31 -- Tata Motors has announced that its best-selling SUV-the Nexon-reached a significant production milestone of 6 lakh units in India. It first appeared in a concept form at the 2014 Auto Expo and went on sale in September 2017 as a production model. The SUV achieved more than 25,000 bookings within six months of its introduction, and by the middle of 2019, it crossed the one lakh unit production mark. The homegrown automaker introduced the Nexon's first facelift alongside its fully electric counterpart in 2020. In just two years, from 2021 to 2023, the SUV's production surged from 2 lakh units to 5 lakh units.
