India, April 17 -- Nissan has recalled its sole model in India, the Magnite, due to a defective front-door handle sensor. The recall applies to the base XE and mid-spec XL variants of the Sub-4 metre SUV manufactured between November 2020 (before launch) and December 2023. The units that came off the production line in 2024 aren't affected by the most recent recall. Although the Japanese carmaker indicated that the problem would not impair passenger safety, it has not disclosed the potential risk with the front door handle sensor. It has also not revealed the exact number of affected units but promised to contact owners and replace the faulty component free of charge.
