Jakarta, Feb. 14 -- The Illegal Financial Activities Eradication (Pasti) Task Force blocked 233 illegal online loan entities and 78 items of content promoting personal loans that violate regulations and pose risks to borrowers, in January this year.

In the period from 2017 to January 31, 2024, the task force, which was formed by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), blocked 8,460 illegal financial entities, comprising 1,218 illegal investment entities, 6,991 illegal online loan entities, and 251 illegal pawn entities.
