Jakarta, April 25 -- Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah launched the National Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program for the 2024-2029 period on Thursday in a bid to promote the implementation of OSH in Indonesia.

"This is an initiative that stems from our steadfast commitment to making OSH a culture and spreading it evenly on a national scale," she said during the launch event, which was livestreamed from Jakarta.

Fauziyah said she sees the program as necessary since the OSH culture has yet to be implemented uniformly in the country, as reflected by data from state health insurer BPJS Kesehatan, which has shown an increased number of work accidents and occupational illness cases.
